Alex Eala just won her FIRST WTA Tour title and what a way to do it.

The 21-year-old Filipina came back from a set down to stun world No. 3 Jessica Pegula, 4-6, 6-4, 6-0, in the Mubadala DC Open final in Washington D.C. The match spilled over two days after heavy rain suspended play, but Eala returned a different player, closing out the last six games of the match to seal the win.

To get here, she took down defending champion Leylah Fernandez, second seed Elina Svitolina, and four-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka before beating the tournament’s top seed in the final.

With this win, Alex becomes the first player from the Philippines EVER to win a WTA Tour singles title, and she’s set to crack the world’s top 20 for the first time in her career.

Next stop: the Canadian Open. But today? Today is for celebrating a true trailblazer.
